A “freehold” is the common name given to real property held absolutely. It is the most familiar form of ownership in common law countries and, in practice, gives the landlord complete ownership of the land and all the buildings on it.

Louis Group purchases the freehold for the land and any fixed property on it. Prior to the purchase, we sell a long leasehold of between 125-250 years to an investor who pays us an annual or semi-annual rent for the property. This form of investment has no risk attached for Louis Group because, in the event of default by the tenant, the house purchased by the investor is forfeited to Louis Group.
